Microsoft sta per rendere disponibile un aggiornamento per windows 7 innocuamente nominato come Update For Microsoft Windows (KB71033).

Evviva, sistema più sicuro e patchato. Ma cosa fa questo update? Secondo The Next Web è l’introduzione di WAT un nuovo e più sofisticato sistema di Genuine checking che si collegherà ogni 90 giorni ai server Microsoft per verificare che il sistema contenga unicamente software originale.

Ecco come allegramente, qualora fosse presente software non genuino, si comporterà il nostro windows 7:

The background wallpaper will change to black. You can set it back to whatever you want, but once an hour or so it will reset again to black.

Various “nag” notifications will appear at intervals to “remind” you that your system has been tagged as a likely pirate and offering you the opportunity to “come clean” — becoming authorized and legitimate by buying a new Windows 7 license. Some of these nags will be windows that appear at boot or login time, others will appear frequently (perhaps every 20 minutes or so) as main screen windows and taskbar popup notices.

La patch verrà immessa nel circuito di windows update il 23 febbraio e sarà disponibile già il 16 per lo scaricamento manuale dal sito Microsoft.

Il mio consiglio per voi ragazzi birbanti è quello di bloccare gli aggiornamenti automatici e eseguire windows update a mano, selezionando cosa installare.
